Not a rumour now brassy. Guy on another site wrote/emailed (not sure which) to gw to complain about lack of Dark Eldar coverage. They replied saying blah de blah blah. But Dark Eldar would not be combined with Eldar.

Yes I believe that the official response that GW now give to the rumor about a joint Codex was that they thought about, mainly just as a way for them to see all the fluff together and how they relate but that each army will get their own codex

Isn't it funny that they're making a Black Templars Codex before an Eldar? (Or Dark Eldar Codex) I mean how many people play Templars opposed to those two armies.

New tow armies?
Ill think you will find templars more popular than dark eldar. There also just distrubuting the marine codexs evenly so Eldar will come after them.

You got me on my spelling (I'll fix it) However your explanation as to why they're doing this doesn't make sense, what did you mean?

Sure thing.
Templars are more popular than Dark Eldar hence there going before them. Most armies will.
Templars are also coming before Eldar as the variant marine codexs need to be spread out between other armies and considering 'nids have just been done theres going to be a marine variant next.

I think we're looking at the marine varients being done, then they Orks and after that the Eldar with us coming at the end of that batch. Well, thats the general idea I've got from GW staff anyway. But either way we're looking at a couple of years of waiting

I'm just saying that I don't think the Black Templars deserve an entire [censored] codex. Why not just a mix Legion codex?

i personally dont mind when they do a dark eldar codex, just as long as they do and we dont get put on the shelf. as for the black templars, the more the merrier i say, ive enjoyed both the space marines and tyranid codex so far.

I'm in agreement with Rillietann, I don't mind when GW does a new DE Codex just so long as they do. For now I think are army works fine in 4th Ed, and I've been collecting DE since before they brought out the Vect and Hellions models so I think I could quite easily wait a couple more years. (Havn't seen the new 'Nid Codex yet, my SMs enjoyed their new one, but next time I go to GW I might come home with a copy and the whispers of the hivemind in my ear)

ok, ill do it, but i gotta do it quick so ill tell you the basics the de will be worked over at the same time as the eldar (so that they get the same fluff) and the de will have their own new codex and new miniatures, quote from gw staff concerning de: No one from the Studio has ever said that we don't care about Dark Eldar. We have a couple of people here who would give their right arm to be able to take the project and turn it into one of the most attractive options in 40k. However, we have a schedule of products we need and want to work on, and Dark Eldar are in there somewhere. The fact is that at present we can't tell you what are plans are for them, simply because we aren't actually sure - we aren't working on them yet. Dark Eldar *will* get a nice, shiny new book and models at some point in the future. What and when precisely that will be, I cannot say. Nor can anyone just yet. quote over... according to vovin.de the order of codexes is as follows: tyranids (dont we know that allready??? anlien hunters eldar adeptus mechaunicus armoured company DE (yay!!!) orks spacehulk spacemarine orders (eg. blood anges...) black templars

The list is a bit skewed, Templars and Orks are coming out first as I was told.
