Mom, Dad, and 2 kids have come to a river, and they find a boat. It is small and can only carry one adult or 2 kids at a time. Both kids are good rowers, but how can the whole family reach the other side of the river only using the boat (and oars)?

the kids go in the boat, and the mom and dad swim. or they could find a bridge and walk across.

Dad kills the mum and attaches her to bottom of boat he then uses children as oars and gets across to the other side u didnt say they had to survive the crossing just get across

have the two kids take the boat to the other side. Then have one of the two kids (kid A) take boat back to the other side. Have the dad enter the boat and take it to the other side. Have kid B who is on the other side take the boat back to the mother and Kid A. Have both Kid A and Kid B row back to the father. then have kid B row back towards the mother. Have the mother enter the boat, leaving kid B on shore, and go to the side where the father and kid A are. Then have kid A take the boat over to where Kid B is and have Kid B and Kid A get in the boat and take it to the side where the mother and the father are.
One question: are the mother and father the mother and father of kid A and kid be or is this a far more sinister story?

A woman is standing on the railings of her third floor balcony threatening to jump. a fireman is racing to try to get a net under her. He is still three hundred yards away when she falls, with no hope or reaching her in time. How does she escape with only a light bruise?
