Being board out of my skull at school I've decided to put together some information on the Dark Father. Before I start my massive internet trawl I thought I'd ask here and see if anyone knows anything?

He's not so misterious. Here's what I can remember about the chappy. The Dark Father was once a Pheniox Lord amoung the Craftworlds. His name was/is Arha (don't know if I spelt it wrong) and he was the Pheniox Lord of the Striking Scorpion Aspect. For some reason (I can't remember off the top of my head) Arha "fell into darkness" and led a number of Striking Scorpions with him to his hidding place among the Dark Eldar in Commorragh. There Arha began his schemes, some say pledging his alligance to a Chaos God (either Slaanesh or Khorne depending on the source). The Scorpions that followed him became the silent Incubi who were sent to guard the most powerful lords in Commorragh. This of course wan't just a good deed on Arha's half. The Incubi can get extremely close to the Lords and a single Lord would not stand a chance if all his/her Incubi turned on him/her. This of course is Arha's plan. When the time is right his Incubi will kill the Lords of Commorragh take control of the Kabals meaning Arha will rule all of the Dark Eldar race. Another point that needs to me made is that, effectivily Arha cannot be killed. He taught his Incubi the tradition of takeing a vanquished foes armour and wearing it themselves as a trophey. Arha still wears the armour of a Phoniex Lords and the Phoniex Lords' armour makes them "immortal". If a Phoniex Lord is killed his spirit will enter his armour and when someone else puts it one the Pheniox Lord's spirt will enter them. This means that if when an Incubi challenges the Dark Father, if the Incubi wins he will put on Arha's armour as he has been taught to do when he deafets an oppenent in a duel. So the Incubi puts on the armour and Arha takes over. Remember this off the top of my head and is by no means Gospel.

hmm never saw the connection between the pheonix armour and the incubi's promotion system before, very nice.
unfortunatly for Ahra the dE's lust for power extends past him, if he kills every archon in commorragh then there will be four times as many people trying to be the new archon leading four times as many (albiet smaller) kabals against his incubi. although an archon would surely pick up Ahra's armour again it would never give Ahra the chance to take over commorragh

I never even knew about the Incubi promotion system. Well, I've got plenty to research now, it'd make a good page in the DE fluff area on the website later on as well if I can find enough stuff.

As you know all Phoenix lords have a title i.e. burning lance, storm of silence etc, well his was originaly the 'Father of Scorpions'. After his betrayal and defeat at the hands of Asurmen and Fuegan he became...
1- The Dark Father to the Dark Eldar
2- The Fallen Phoenix to the Craftworld Eldar
