How does it look: you can model it anyway you need to, give them something to hold in the hands, or on the belt, or on the base anywhere will do. You don’t even have to model it at all.
How they work: With plasma grenades if you charge into cover, you strike at In order, so at In 5 vs Sm In 4. Otherwise SM would hit first.
I think that answers the question.

Well in that case this should realy be in the Dark Eldar board, not the tactics board.
*MOVED*
Well in the "real world" I've always seen them as small spheres, kinda like the thermal detonator in Return of the Jedi but instead the switch just a small button used to activate it. As for what it does, again I see it basicly being a statis field within the grenade containing the plasma (after all Eldar Plasma techonolgy is much more advanced than the Imperiums) and when the grenade is activated it begins to shut the stais field down and the plasma bursts from the grenade and everybody takes cover while the guys that threw it jump over and start killing people.

Basically plasma is the fourth state of matter. Its so energetic that its not only broken all intermolecular bonds but its broken down into electrons and nuclei as well. Its incrediblly hot and incrediblly reactive, anything it touches will burn or bond to it or both. In real life we can contain plasma within a series of overlapping magnetic fields that force it into a donut shape, i reckon the grenade must have a similar storage device but only grenade size rather than apartment block size like we have today.
I would guess that the grenade works by pressing a button that turns off the magnetic field after a set amount of time. Plasma is so reactive once to field turns off it'll blast out in all directions without any explosive force, it'll be as if the grenade casing isn't even there!
Hope thats some help.
