Well as we should all know by now one of the most successful Dark Eldar tactics in 4th Ed is the Webway Portal army. With a good WWP army including at least two portals, you may find yourself a bit low on small blast markers. Also eventuly, if you use the WWP army often, you may begin to feel that the blast markers just don't cut it anymore at representing the heart of your stratagy.
I often use a WWP army and have made a little gift for my army in the form of two Webway Portal markers. They are the same size as the blast marker usely used but I feel they look a whole lot better on the table top, (and it also avoids someone picking your portal up by mistake )
I started looking around for an image on the net that I thought would work well and when I found one I then copied it into a publishing program. I stretched the image slightly to make it bigger and then placed a transparent circle the same size as the small blast marker in the center of the image with a black outline. Once I'd done this I printed the file onto a piece of thick paper/thin card and cut around the outside of the circle. And walla I had a snazzy looking, easy to make, Webway Portal.
For anyone that wants to try this for themselves I've uploaded a template for the portal so that all you need do is print it out and cut it out. Also for added rididity you may want to stick onto a piece of thick card, although the thin card I used works well enough.
WEBWAY PORTAL TEMPLATE
Also feel free to use this thread to talk about how you modeld your own Webway Portal, as I'm sure there are many other ways to do it than my way.
May the Dark City always be at your back
