Well, its been a while, but the fluff mill is grinding away again. This piece doesn't realy have a name as it was only written to get the cogs grinding again.
Archon No’ki stood in the ruins of the town square, a pile of bodies burning slowly next to her. She took a deep breath, drinking in the smell of death all around her. This night had gone well. They had attacked as the two moons blocked each other, throwing the planet below into almost pitch-blackness. Approaching silently until within striking distance, then the screaming jets of the raiders were ignited, sending a screeching cry through the darkness. Then they descended on the sleepy town. She mused for a moment; she had thought there might have at least been a little fight in these mon-keigh, perhaps next time. Her memories drifted back to the raid. When they attacked they had swept through the town, killing hundreds, enslaving hundreds more, for nearly no loses to the Kabal. The defences had been destroyed within moments of the attack, their destruction sending a wave of terror through the mon-keigh, this only driving the Dark Eldar on. Within hours the entire town was alight, its populace either dead, or taken.
No’ki wandered through groups of warriors as they mounted the new slaves onto the raiders. Suddenly she stopped by one of the raiders and signalled for one of the warriors to bring the slave he was loading to her. The slave was a small human boy, he couldn’t have seen more than thirteen winters, but he looked strong. No’ki squatted down just in front of the boy, placing her hand on his face. She smiled, as the boy didn’t even flinch. She flicked her translator on and spoke in a very soft voice, one that was very rarely heard. “Do you fear me child?”
“I hate you.” Very flat, fighting back his visible fear.
No’ki laughed, “Your hate means nothing to me child. I have experienced hate that your kind can never achieve. I have experienced many emotions that you don’t even know exist. But don’t worry, I will teach you the full extent of your emotions, I will show you ecstasy beyond belief, and pain beyond your worst nightmares.” With that she pushed herself to her feet, her hand still on the boy’s face. She bent down and started straight into the boy’s eyes as she dug her nails into the side of his face, causing dark crimson blood to trickle down his cheek. She then straightened up and spoke to the warrior still standing next to the slave.
“I want this one for myself, make sure he is in my quarters when I return to the Fear Bringer.”
