Very simple question realy. How did you start playing DE? Im sure there are some good stories out there, so tell us.
To be honest I started by accident, I was gonning to play CWE becasue i liked the guardian models. So im talking to my friend about this, and he's says he has some Eldar he'll sell me. "Great!" i think. So a couple of days later im £15 worse off and thinking i have about 40 Eldar to start my new army with. Well i did have 40 eldar to start my army with, 40 Dark Eldar. But these models are pritty nice. I might use them at the beginers Sundays down my local GW. So next time im down there i buy the codex, play a couple and games, and an Archon is born. ;D
So thats my story. Whats yours?

wow, I got away for a couple of days and this place is as silent as the grave (almost).
Well, I started DE because thats what came in the starter box set. I collected the space marines first but then one of my friends offered to sell me a lot of DE (about 1000pts) for almost nothing so I thought, why not!? and I've collected DE ever since.

like Hellbrass, i got around 1000 of DE points from my friend. Although, alot of the guys were pretty messed up.

Tell me about it, I've still got an entire sqaud to try and put back together. My problem is I'm really lazy, I'd rather buy new stuff than try to salvage some of the stuff I got of my friend.

well i was and still am a fanatical Iron Warriors Warsmith i even had a rebel guard army to go with them at the start of the EOT campagin i was recruited by the Black Gate company a group of powerful chaos lords along with Drah, we then joined the Council of the Chosen were i met Hellbrass after getting messed around by my Iron Warriors mod i decided to take Hellbrass up on his offer of being his second and bought a huge army of DE. hence why i am a Half-Breed

And now you all know how me and Zylath met as well. Back in the days of the Council of the Chosen, the command effort that failed but did lead to several people branching out by themselves; namely me, Zylath and CtanSupportGroup.

hmm well a long long time ago when the 3rd ed began ,I was walking past the GW store which ws literally 40 yards from my house. I had time to kill so I went in and it all went downhill from there.My first army were the CWE (booooo hisssss).I learned to play with them and they bored me ( well the CWE players bored me to tell the truth).I was pretty much all set to give it up when I heard a CWE player say that DE were rubbish and nobody could win with them cos they suck.Oh really thought I.So I decided to get them and off I went on a winning streak of destruction that was to last 2 years before i was killled by a BA player(who is awesome tho and a good friend also someone who Ive never beaten ,curse his hide).I have a few other armies now, but I still have a soft spot for my DE ,and Im currently upgrading the whole army as the paint job on my old one sux a bit.

Along time ago, I played marines. However, there was but one problem, I had no to play against. After a three year stint, I ran into a group who played 40k, and was looking to get more than marine players. Seeing as how many people had 20 odd DE warriors lying about, I bought them out and began wreaking havok.

Finaly people will play DE for DE, not because some one decided to pair them off (unfairly to. Landspeeder + 10 marines is way more than 20 warriors). Though if it's bugs instead, there better be a dozen genestealers!

Hello, well the Mods will have to forgive me for my indecisivness before, but i am not one to slink into the shows. If i am allowed to remain i will.
I beilve i will do DE (i used to have an army). For the soul reson i want a CWE, DE exodite and Harile armys. That will make my armies CWE, Necrons, Orks and the other kindreds of the Eldar.
