Your missing an army from that list. Crone world Eldar! Apparently an experimental list comes out next year (and if it doesnt prehaps we should all get together and write one)

Apparently an experimental list comes out next year (and if it doesnt prehaps we should all get together and write one) I heard from staff at mu local GW that they are going to be like allid units to the current Eldar (like 0-1 as an elites choise). There is not enough fluff to make a full army list. I will make my DE and harlies 1000 points (thats a fair game size). But my exodites will be 1500 as it will be Shining Spears as dragon knights, wraithlords as meggadons and 'something' as the exodite lord and thats a lot of points .

Interesting about the Crone World Eldar. Well I suppose we can always expand on the Crone World allied unit when its rules come out. Oh, and for exodites what about the carnasore model? or is it a bit to aggressive?

well, exodites do have brightlances and starcannons, from the CWE, just in a lesser ratio. Stegadon models would be simpler to convert with a heavy weapon. But now you mention it, i may concider useing a carnosaur.

true, well my DE army will be a Wych cult for 2 rasons:
1) wyches are cool (though i may use the warhammer modles)
2) they are mercaneries, either working for other arhons, well paying chaos (night lords, alpha legion iron warriors etc) and even CWE if they needed to, LOADS of fluff porential.
Army list almost done ;D

I played orks for years (after starting with nothing much I got 1000pts of orks for christmas, and was hooked ever since). Since then I graduated to imperial guard (mainly for fluff potential) and marines (well, proxied dudes). My regular opponant plays cwe (a truly horrible marine killer list) and the only army I regularly beat him with is orks (well, 5 years experience counts for something).
Anyhoo, I was playing my opponant with marines, I killed about a third of his army and was annhilated (hats off to the chaplain who killed the third, and stayed alive in combat for 11 turns). Truth was I was bored with the kind of armies I played, orks were a sledgehammer (though I still have barrel-loads of fun with these guys) and so are guard (even mechanised doesn't make much difference to their tactics). And marines, well, bo-ring! I was looking for a new army, I wanted something that was evil for a change, yet I have an inherant hatred of chaos. I also wanted a tactical army, something that gives real rewards for planning and the right unit being in the right place at the right time.
One trip to gw later, I decided on de. I've liked them since I started (some of my favourite models), and this was re-inforced by overhearing one of the staff saying how no one played with them anymore, and he wanted someone to as he loved playing against them. I simply decided that this was the time to start.

Well you came to the right place. If you want no know anything historical or tactical ask away and we'll do our best to help. (Although the history can be a bit scetch as 90% of whats on the net is made up)

I don't really need any help with history or fluff, I'm good at those (well, its something) tactics are why I'm here (but then I like communities too, so I'll be here for a looong time)

I had been playing Eldar for years, and then when 3rd edition came out, my mostly Guardian force no longer was as much fun to play and I was looking for a new challenge. So I picked up on Dark Eldar, and I've been having a great time ever since. They have the versatility and speed of the old Guardians, and they have the dark imagery that I enjoy painting.

Me and my brother both paid for the 40k boxed set. He got the Space Marines, and later I bought some necrons, having really liked what I saw in the White dwarf. I tried to teach a friend to play and use the dark eldar, but no luck. I've had 20 dark eldar warriors sitting on my shelf for 2 years. Recently, I got some Harlequins, and liked their fluff, the models, and the way they played. I'd always liked the attitude of the Dark Eldar, and got the idea to use an allied list. I proxied a Haemonculus, and after one game to get used to them I definitely decided that I was getting Dark Eldar. (I'm getting a proper Haemonculus model on Saturday)
